Scientific Taiwan 科技台灣

This course is specially designed for (a) the students of “Taiwan Study Program” (台灣研究學程), (b) the foreign undergraduate and graduate students, or called “international students”, enrolled in National Taiwan University, and (c) the students who are interested in learning the progress of Taiwan technologies. The students can be in any major or department, such as in college of law, management, life science, engineering, and science, etc. The language used in this course is English. The maximum number of the students for this course is limited to 80. Local Taiwanese students, maximum 40 persons, can also take this course. The instructors for this course include (1) Dr. H.J. Sheen, Professor of Institute of Applied Mechanics, National Taiwan University and Director of Nano-Electro-Mechanical-System (NEMS) Research Center, and (2) Prof. Robert Y. Lai, Chair Professor of Tatung University. During the semester we are going to introduce many new technology achievements in Taiwan industries and research institutes during the past few decades, especially after 1980.
